Rajasthan is filled with uniqueness and Pushkar is no different as it is the only place in the world where there is a temple of Lord Brahma and several gurudwaras. Nestled in the middle of the main Aravalli Hills of the Ajmer District this place has its own magic and attracts one of the largest crowds of tourists anywhere in the entire state. Visit this ancient city and explore the many layers of Hindu mythology. A perfect weekend getaway Pushkar will not disappoint you. Enjoy the lovely waters and do boating on the lake, enjoy amazing camel safaris, camping and hikes, cable-car rides, shopping for local handicrafts, and enjoy the lip smacking snacks. Spend time in the gorgeous Rose Garden or the Varha Ghat and find the peace you look for. If you match the timing right then in October or November you can also see the grand Pushkar Mela which is the world`s largest Cattle Fair. Holi and Deepawali are some other perfect times to visit the place with a promise of memorable rendezvous. The Pushkar Bazaar is also an amazing place to shop for your piece of history. Pushkar is also largely economical as compared to other tourist destinations nearby.
By Car: 15 km west of Ajmer. It is nearly impossible to find a spot near the lake. Check on google.
By Public Transport: There are regular buses from Ajmer Bus Station and Ajmer Railway Station to Pushkar
Lots of temple around the lake, so dress appropriately. The water is not good for a swim.
