If you ever imagined an oasis in the middle of the desert then this place is just the reality. Nestled in the Kanak valley of surrounding Aravali of Jaipur, this massive water collection of the Man Sagar Lake is a place to relax owing to the location its a perfect place to absorb phenomenal views. The palace is surrounded by endless waters of the lake to be specifically enjoyed in the evening sun with the golden beam. Look to the east and you can see the majestic Nahargarh fort in all its prime. The traditional Rajputana and Mughal mixed design of the five stores is eye catching. Unfortuntaley, it is not possible to visit and go beneath to see the 4 floors which remain underwater still waterproof. Drive along the lake road and experience the views from the car while you can stop over the concrete bank area and enjoy corn, chat, snacks or the Kulfi icecream and watch the local magician shows. The best time to vist is the sunset when you can just sit back and let the views take you.
By Car / Cycle: The palace is on the Man Sagar Lake on Amer road. It is bang opposite Trident Hotel.
By Public Transport: There is a bus every 30 minutes to the walled city.
For now, the palace is not open to the public and check if boating on the lake is open.
It is possible to walk round the Lake Road and visit the bird watching point at the other end. It is a leisurely 2.5 km walk, although the point itself is not well maintained.
Do not forget your camera.
