Enter the fort from any of the 4 gates of which Lahore Gate and Delhi Gate are the common entrances and by the grandest in appearance. Through the Amar Singh Gate you can reach the Jehangir palace courtyard famous for its historical significance. Move on and take complete views of the marvelous Huaz-e Jahangir which is a monument carved out of single stone and was the historical Hamam. Walk eastwards and enter the residence of Shah Jahan, Khas Mahal consisting of the main pool and marble pavilion and get a great view to Taj Mahal. The Anguri Bagh courtyard forms the main garden and the main entrance to the Mirror Palace. Explore the many tunnels and passages underground called the escape routes during the wartime. The most prominent tunnel connects the Red Fort with Yamuna river.
