Switzerland boasts one the most spectacular networks of natural mountain biking trails set picturesquely in the Alps. Amongst them is the new Hörnli Trail that is unique in the Arosa-Lenzerheide region. With the length of almost 6.8 km, the topographical conditions on the Hörnli are special and present a flow trail that can be used by practically all levels of ability, including families. For folks new to mountain biking, it is recommended to visit the skill center at the valley station or the Pumptrack at the Ochsenbühl sports field before riding on the Hörnli Trail. This mountain bike course is closed for hikers and can only be used by bikers. Follow the Hornli trail all the way down to Hörnli base station or Arosa Bahnhof and celebrate your success with a view of Obersee and bottle of the local beer!

This trail starts from Hörnli mountain gondola station.

There are several options to start this adventurous downhill Hörnli bike trail. 

1) Start from Hörnli Express cablecar station, load your bike on the blue gondola, take them out on Hörnli and bike down.

2) You can start from Arosa Bahnhof - load your bike on Weisshorn gondola, come out at Mittelstation and bike downhill to Hörnli Express

3) Bike up from Inner-Arosa and follow Carmena, Plattenhorn while biking uphill and reach Hörnli peak.

With Arosa card, public transport in Arosa is included (free on bus, cable cars), but please note that for bike transport, you'll have to purchase Bike - tickets (can be purchased from any ticket station in Arosa or online)

Good comfortable cloths, Biking shoes and most important - a good mountain bike.

You can rent mountain bikes in several sports shops in Arosa (near Obersee)
