No one can imagine a place like this in the middle of a desert state but it’s there as real as it can be. Sariska Tiger reserve is one-of-a-kind protection forest for the endangered Bengal tigers of India. It is a poorer cousin to the majestic Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, however Siriska has its own charms. This area was originally a hunting preserve and with considerable efforts the tiger population has risen to 20 in 2020. The reserve is surprisingly green with amazing views. A lucky few may even spot tiger colonies in the open retiring in the afternoon heat at the water ponds. Joining a jungle safari is the best way to watch these majestic creatures, private tours can also be booked. Canter Safari is also an amazing option if you are travelling in larger groups. Take a jungle trek on the outside stretch of the reserve outside the Tiger reach and spot migratory and local birds, deer, leopards, nilgai and wild boar. Visit the local shrine of Lord Hanuman and know about the history of this beautiful place. Another spectacle is the Sariska palace which shines in its white colour amongst the exotic green and ends the trip on a royal high note.
