The most interesting sight to behold in this fort are the freshwater springs called Mother of Water or Mae De Agna. There is brilliant architecture and mesmerizing views of the Arabian Sea all over. Aguada Jail is one of the largest jails in Goa. It is one of the best places to visit for tourists to get the useful insights of the history of Goa’s freedom. Getting Here Description

By Car: The fort is on the southern tip of Candolim beach. It's about 14 kms from Panaji.

By Public Transport: No buses to Fort Aguada. Best bet is to reach Candolim and then take a taxi, auto or a two wheeler taxi.

By Foot: 

1) Follow the road from the Marbella guest house. About 3 kms till the Fort.

2) A more satisfying walk is to go out to the sea level fort walls, along the road past the Taj hotel.
